adidas X Prada Re-Nylon Forum Low | First Look

The Three Stripes is no stranger to pushing the boundaries when it comes to footwear releases. As we witnessed at ComplexCon, adidas is a fan of taking their staple silhouettes and applying fun and creative touches. However, their next collaboration with luxury brand Prada is taking a much more technical and clean approach.
Prada is an Italian brand focused on clean lines, minimalistic branding, and a unique yet classic approach to leather and nylon goods. Adidas, a sneaker brand well known in the community, is very much focused on the classics while still exploring other avenues for inspiration to keep things fresh. The adidas x Prada Forum Low combines the best from both brands. The adidas Forum first hit the street on the 80s and immediately became a favorite both on and off the basketball court. Fast forward almost 30 years later and its being used as the canvas for yet another collaboration.
This past weekend at ComplexCon, we had the chance to see the adidas x Prada Forum Low, in both black and white, up close and personal. The upper is constructed of both leather and nylon similar to that of some of the most iconic Prada handbags and has a completely monochromatic look. Each colorway features silver hardware to continue with the futuristic vibe along with tonal Prada branding on the tongue. The most eye-catching detail is the removable Prada-branded nylon pouch that sits atop the laces on each shoe that reminds of the Prada Re-Edition 2005 Re-Nylon bag. At the official unveiling at ComplexCon, the adidas x Prada Tetracube installation captured everyone’s attention. Not only was the shoe beautiful but the display was equipped with two huge robotic arms that were attached to two rubix cube type structures covered in screens. It felt that for a moment you were transported to the year 3020. As the weekend went on, attendees had a chance to enter a raffle via the CONFIRMED app to win a pair of their very own. During the event, a countdown would appear on the screens to announce various lucky winners. It was truly an experience and a raffle experience like no other.
WHEN IS THE ADIDAS X PRADA FORUM LOW RELEASING?
While few were lucky to get their hands on a pair at the event, the rest of us will have to wait on a general release. The details surrounding the release of the adidas x Prada Forum Low still remains a mystery. However, if we had to take a guess we’d say the collaboration will drop before the year is over for around $200 USD. Once release information has been confirmed, we’ll be sure to update you.
