adidas x Allbirds FUTURECRAFT.FOOTPRINT | First Look

As it relates to footwear design, many brands have been placing an intentional focus on sustainability efforts. While we want to leave our footprint in any industry we navigate, it’s important for brands we wear to lessen the effects of a carbon one amongst other important initiatives. adidas has been amongst the definitive voices for sustainability and is all about their mission to utilize 100% recycled polyester in all products by 2024. They have teamed up with another well-known brand to forge the path onward in sustainability.

The latest labor of sneaker love is powered by adidas x Allbirds. Through a strategic design process, the two have created the FUTURECRAFT.FOOTPRINT. The running shoe is featured as having a carbon footprint less than 3kg. To unpack that number, it also means the silhouette was produced with 63% less emissions than some of its counterparts in the running game. In actuality this took quite a bit of time put into the technology, performance, and how materials were being reimagined. A key feature of the co-creation is the use of LIGHTSTRIKE cushioning and Sweetfoam. The FUTURECRAFT.FOOTPRINT is constructed with 70% recycled polyester and 30% natural Tencel.

WHERE CAN WE BUY THE ADIDAS X ALLBIRDS FUTURECRAFT.FOOTPRINT?
