Honesty hour. One takeaway from these past few years is that putting focus on your mental health is a vital every day process. While we love our self-care routines to help center us, we are also understanding that it’s OK to feel the feels (and we mean ALL) on a daily basis. What’s even more imperative, is staying informed on how we can do that while supporting others who may be doing the same. Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Liz Beecroft, has made it a mission to weave her professional expertise and passion for sports, sneakers, and streetwear to promote mental health awareness. Aside from being huge fans of Liz, we’re excited to see another collaboration that intentionally speaks to the importance of mental health in sport and beyond.
Liz has teamed up with Champs Sports and a fly female illustrator you may have seen in the social media streets. Sarah Brown AKA Drake Cereal takes her artistic expression to collaborate with Liz B. on the ‘Feelings First’ apparel collection. In honor of World Mental Health Day this weekend, the apparel represents the importance of continuing the conversation as it relates to athletes and mental health. Some may still feel the sting of stigma surrounding this topic, but with trailblazers such as Liz and Sarah, barriers can be broken in a refreshing way. The collection features a short sleeve and long sleeve shirt, alongside two different hoodies. Check out more snaps below.
