Sneaker Diary: From The Office to Happy Hour with Puma

I don't do clubs much (read: hardly ever/only for birthdays that are not my own) so, when I'm itching to get social I usually head to a networking event or happy hour with friends. Needless to say, those fetes usually occur right after the 9-5. I'm a penny pincher so, when it comes to getting those happy hour deals, I have no problem heading straight from the J-O-B for some post-work libations. This time around, I made my way to a happy hour at British Beverage Co. If you're in Dallas, this place has a daily happy hour from 3-9 PM (that includes weekends!) and I love the atmosphere. My bestie Brit and I have been going to their weekend brunches for years and they never disappoint. BTW, their Zucchini Frieds are scrumptious.

The folks at Puma were kind enough to send me a pair of their new Puma Basket Heart sneakers and as soon as I saw them I knew they'd be perfect to pair with a dressed up work fit. Thanks to the sleek design and patent leather finish, these are sneakers you can dress up. As someone who actually wears sneakers to work, these have been pretty clutch for me. However, if yout office isn't one that's sneaker friendly, toss them in your bag and slip them on pre-happy hour. There's nothing cute about that heel struggle walk.

Ringing in at just under $90 ($85 USD to be exact) you can nab these in black or in white.

It's been cold on and off in Dallas so, I paired my Puma Basket Heart sneaks with a pair of semi-sheer black tights. I saw this Gracie Geo Print Long Sleeve Shift Dress and immediately copped it because I knew it'd be a good dress for versatile occaisions. Plus, I love any reason to wear a red lip and this dress just encouraged my entire inner siren.

For the office, I opted for a simple black blazer. It's a must-have in your closet if you don't have one already. I usually pair mine with jeans, an oversized boyfriend t-shirt and sneaks, but it works for the office too. LOL. I splurged on this one from Express way back in the day (it's like 5 years old) but it still serves it's purpose and I'm still getting wear out of it today. You can grab a similar one here.

As you can see, I'm finally back in the Lonestar state after getting my cab on out in NYC. It feels good to be back in my second home. I know I said we'd have video up this week, buttttt editing is hard and I'm up to my eyeballs in YouTube tutorials. It'll get done though, promise. :)

I hope you all have a great week!
