10 Sneaker/Streetwear Designers You Should Know

Image: @sheehansworld IG

Within the conversations about representation, we have seen a surge of creatives and designers taking a new approach to leave their own footprint in the sneaker/streetwear space. We are champions of change and the landscape of representation is undoubtedly shifting. In 2021, we are bearing witness to the demand of company transparency as it boils down to diversity and inclusion. At the forefront, this focus is long overdue, however we don’t want to lose sight of Black and brown designers who may fly under the radar.

We’re talking about the unsung heroes that give 110% to create products with us in mind from the moment ideation begins. We love the brands we have connected to growing up, but we also aim to create a space for up and coming female trailblazers in this industry, as well as the vets. With that in mind, there are many women whose names need to be mentioned outside of the one month dedicated to their heritage. Black and brown women deserve their flowers.

We have compiled a listing of 9 women who you should know and keep on your radar. Each lady is a representation of how our culture is so important and why that diversity is needed in all the products we love.
