Wish List: This OG Nike Makes It's Return On Air Max Day
If you're not that big on kick game, chances are March 26th has no significant meaning to you. If, however, you're a sneaker lover you know that March 26th is a day that will be celebrated in full holiday splendor. If you're still looking at your screen with a solid "huh?" face, you should know that 3/26 is Air Max Day. Kind of like July 4th forNike lovers. Sneakdependance dDay. Too much? Probably.
The occasion allows the Swoosh and fans alike to pay homage to one of the brand’s most loved silhouettes. And, for the last two years, it's also been a day for BIG releases from the family in PDX.
That said, Sneakers.fr came through with the solid intel that 2016’s Air Max Day will see the return of the OG Nike Air Max Classic BW “Persian Violet”. Originally released in 1991 (I was still running around in my L.A. Gear light ups at that point in life, btw), the sneaker made a brief return in 2014 before this year's showing. The original colorway still makes an impression as the shoe showcases black leather and mesh on the upper with blue/violet on the collar, tongue, and Swoosh.
