5 Sneakers You Need On Your Next Trip
For me, and probably for you (I'm assuming), traveling is one of my favorite things to do. Because I work in corporate while I also run CNK, I have to use my PTO wisely and make the most out of my time away from Dallas. So, most of my travel also ties into business for the site because, getting away and getting work done is a definite must.
That said, I'm notorious for overpacking. My best friend and I tease eachother because, more than likely, we budget for checking a bag simply because we're not the greatest at packing. On my last trip to New York, however, I actually packed light AND managed to hit the plane with a carry-on and a backpack, with room to spare. There's no going back from here.
One thing that made packing a breeze was picking a solid crop of three sneakers that I could mix and match with different outfits. I also tried everything on before I packed it so I knew what would go best with the shoes I selected, but I digress. Because my time away is usually spent on the move between meetings, potential interviews for the site, style shoots, and exploring the city as much as I can, I need reliable sneakers that are both cute and comfortable.
Below, I've compiled a list of 5 sneakers that I swear by when traveling. BTW, three of these made it to my last trip - just FYI.

Nike Air Force 1 Low
After we hipped you to the massive Air Force 1 restock, I made sure to grab myself a few pairs and I am so glad I did. While in NYC, I dressed these up, dressed them down, and they were even my go-to airport sneaks specifically because they're easy to slip on and off in those security lines. I pounded the pavement heavy in these while in the Big Apple and my feet didn't hurt once. PLUS, they won't break the bank so, you don't have to worry about getting them dirty - just keep a fresh box at home just in case.

Converse Chuck Taylor
About a year ago I hit NYC and put these Converse II's to use for a Sneaker Diary. They definitely kept me comfy as I trekked through Manhattan - a little note though, the Converse II isn't the easiest to get on. If I were you, I'd stick with the OG Chuck Taylor at a lower price point

Adidas Iniki Runner
The adidas Originals Iniki Runner has been a favorite of mine for a few months now and for good reason: it's comfortable AF. I made my way around BK two days in a row in these babies and they definitely didn't disappoint. While they're a bit pricey, you can definitely get plenty of use out of them. PLUS, all the dope colorways we're seeing will have you drooling.

Puma Tsugi Shinsei
On my last trek out west to L.A. I brought along the Puma Tsugi Shinsei after I was gifted a pair earlier this year. While my intention was to style them and wear them around the city for a day, I ended up falling in love with their comfort - even though I'm still not a huge fan of the "tongue shell" that covers the upper laces - and wound up wearing them all the way home. Definitely a sleeper that you might want to invest in - even if you can't say the name.

Nike Air Max 97
The Air Max 97 is a favorite around these parts, so when I got to packing they were the first options I added to my cart. Aside from being pretty decent to look at, I can run the town in these bad boys (just like I did here) and stay as cozy as I was before leaving my Airbnb. That, my friends, is a plus when you're walking everywhere.
