Spring has sprung in Dallas and, unfortunetly, so have my allergies. The work (and the show) must go on though so, when I got the chance to enjoy an amazingly beautiful night here in Triple D I popped that Allegra and kept it pushing.

The weather in Dallas has been super amazing lately (not too cold and not too hot, thank God) so, when I received a pair of these coveted Air Max 97 OG's, I knew exactly where we could capture them best: The AAC.

The AAC, otherwise known as the American Airlines Center and home of the Dallas Mavericks is, essentially, a walk in Victory Park. Surrounded by restaurants, shops, and even a cigar bar, Victory Park is one of my favorite places in the city. I'm pretty sure you can see why.

Even though it's almost Easter, I opted for darker attire to because black is always a good idea. By the way, these 97's pop with muted colors in case you were thinking of rocking them any time soon. I nabbed these BDG jeans from American Apparel about two years ago and, even though they're fading, I love them. I really should splurge on a pair of more reliable black jeans. Let me know if you have any recommendations.

I’ve always been a fan of bodysuits. For one they keep you from having to adjust and tuck your shirt every five minutes, and two you can wear them with virtually everything. This black bodysuit was a major steal from BooHoo that i bought last fall. It's one of their staple pieces so, you can still nab it for half off (that's just $10) here.

Of course, the main star of this show is the Nike Air Max 97. Like I said before, I have been itching to get my hands on this shoe since my momma said a swift "No" back in the day. This late-1990s style defines the era of big design with a futuristic aesthetic that seems right in line with today's newest releases. With its reflective features and silvery tone (inspired by Japan's bullet trains - who knew?) the shoe still turns heads. Personally, I was super comfortable in these after being on feet all evening. The Max Air cushioning system continues to do solid work and, after receiving an 8.5, I'm grateful for the extra wiggle room.

While the price point is a bit high (these WMNS 97's will run you $175 USD), that's a relatively small price to pay for a shoe that will last you another 20 years. Plus, you don't even want to see what these will run you on the resell market.

If you're reading this before 9:00 AM on Thursday, April 13th - you still have time to grab your pair.

If you're still looking for additional options, three other Nike classics will hit the SNKRS app tomorrow in the Silver Bullet colorway: the Air Max 95 PRM, the Air Max Zero, and the Air Max Plus.
